Last day of Truth and Consequences | Silent Scream

This is the last day to attend Truth and Consequences Silent Scream. It started on the 9th of February;

Truth and Consequences; Group Show curated by Andrew Ehninger, Megan Hallett & Kelly Seim in Art Access Gallery A multimedia exhibit exploring Salt Lake City artists’ attempt to make meaning out of the socially turbulent early days of the Trump presidency- the protests, executive orders, rescinded orders, outrageous press conferences, support and dissent, condemnation of the media and the courts, and the vilification of immigrants. The group curated exhibit explores the capacity of artmaking to make sense of the impact this time has had on our communities, our neighbors, families, and artists. Silent Scream by Heydar Rasoulpour in Access II Gallery The series of paintings came from all the screams that either collapsed in silence or in screaming in an empty desert, nobody heard them. In these moments, cries and feelings of excitement are suppressed and instead replaced by logical and polite behavior. Shouts that are drawn out of emotion are part of human behavior (feelings like joy, pain, hate, fear …). These paintings are the snapshots of these screams and their silencing.
