Sounds of Silk: Musical Instruments and Textiles from Silk Road Cultures

Eastern Arts presents an exhibit of traditional musical instruments and various textiles originating in cultures along the ancient Silk Road including China, India, Afghanistan, Iran, Turkey and more. The exhibit can be seen at Marmalade Library from February 20 - March 30, 2018 and will be free and open to the public with a reception on Saturday Feb. 24th at 4:00. Afghan musician and scholar, Mr. Qais Essar from Arizona, will join a panel for discussion on Saturday March 17th at 2:00 in the afternoon, also free and open to the public.
